Sandhya began her journey as an artist along with a solo exhibition entitled ‘Journey’ itself in 2007. She foregrounds divinity through her art works aesthetically. A spiritual seeker more than an artist, her major area of interest lies in the mystery of life and death and beyond, at times. A BFA graduate from prestigious Kathmandu University and a post graduate in culture studies, she enjoys solitary places to experience ultimate truth.

She has credited four solo exhibitions to her merit lists until 2020 and a number of national and international art residencies, camps, workshops, and group exhibitions. Artist in Residence Program of Kathmandu Contemporary Art Center held in 2016 turned her experiment on different mediums. It remains a magnum opus of her life as an artist. From then on, she made a leap from paintings to paper cuttings as a way of expression. In this passage of time, she ameliorated from one layer of paper cutting to multi layers in a solo show exhibit entitled ‘Aama’ in 2019. Her journey continues.
