Sabita Dangol, a visual artist based in Kathmandu Nepal, holds MFA degree in painting from Tribhuvan University in 2013. She is the recipient of ‘Araniko Youth Award 2076’ from Rastriya Yuwa Sewa Kosh (National fund for youth Service) in 2019, ‘Best Nature Artist’ endeavor for nature conservation & Arts during ‘Art for Nature’ 4th International Art Workshop & Exhibition organized by RFWV(Relief fund for wildlife victim), WWF & Art Club in 2019. ‘National Fine Art Special Award’ during National Fine Art Exhibition hosted by Nepal Academy of Fine Art in 2017. Awarded from Camlin Art Foundation in Kolkata, India in 2010. ‘Kumari Honors of Fine Art’ by Kumari Publication and JCI in 2010. First prize in ‘creative week’ Tri-Chandra College in 2009. Second prize in by NFSU, Lalitkala Campus in 2008.Her painting was selected to have an exhibit in the Asia’s oldest Art Biennale ’18th Asian Art Biennale’ at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Dhaka and also featured her paintings in the prestigious The India Art Fair 2018 at New Delhi representing artist from Nepal Art Council Gallery. She has five solo exhibitions to her credit. She has participated in various group shows and workshops. Besides Painting, She is also a proficient performance artist and has performed in more than 20 Performances.
